How to Purchase a Ticket!

3. Visit one of the following events where GEF will be selling tickets in-person.

Rules & Regulations
The Greenwood Education Foundation (GEF) is excited to host the Cash for Class raffle in support of educational grants, experiences and services for Greenwood students. Please review the following rules and regulations before purchasing your ticket.

This raffle is conducted by the Greenwood Education Foundation under Indiana Gaming License #015600.

Eligibility
-
Participants must be 18 years of age or older to purchase a ticket or win a prize.

Members of the GEF Board of Directors and staff are not eligible to participate.

Ticket Sales
-
Raffle tickets are $50 each.

Tickets must be purchased in person; online sales are not permitted under Indiana law.

GEF will accept debit card purchases in addition to cash and checks. Per the Indiana Gaming Commission, any purchases made using a credit card must be done in person.

To purchase a ticket, please contact a GEF board member or Tiffany Woods at tiffany@greenwoodeducationfoundation.org to arrange an in-person purchase.

Each ticket sold is good for a single raffle entry.

Prize Structure
-
For every 100 tickets sold, one (1) winner will be drawn to receive $2,500.

Odds of winning are determined by the total number of tickets sold.

If additional tickets are sold beyond a full set of 100, a 50/50 winner will be drawn from those remaining tickets (e.g., if 150 tickets are sold, one $2,500 winner will be drawn from the first 100 tickets, and one 50/50 winner will be drawn from the remaining 50 tickets for a prize of $1,250.”

If less than 100 tickets are sold, then a 50/50 will will be drawn from the number of tickets sold (e.g., if 75 tickets are sold in total, then one winner will be drawn for a 50/50 prize of $1,875).

The winning ticket number will be removed from the drawing before pulling additional winners (e.g., each ticket sold is good for one entry and is not eligible for subsequent drawings).

Drawing Details

Winner(s) will be drawn during the GHS Alumni Basketball Night on Friday, December 5, 2025.

The drawing will take place in person at Greenwood Community High School and will also be streamed live on the GEF Facebook page.

Participants do not need to be present to win.

Notification of Winners

Winner(s) will be announced at the drawing and notified via phone and/or email within 48 hours.

If a winner cannot be reached within 7 days of the drawing, the prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner may be selected.

All tickets not drawn for a prize will remain in the tumbler until all winners have been notified and paid out.

Taxes & Reporting

All prizes are awarded as cash. Any federal, state, or local taxes associated with the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

GEF will comply with all IRS and Indiana tax reporting requirements.

Use of Proceeds
-
Proceeds from the raffle directly support the Greenwood Education Foundation’s mission to provide innovative educational grants, experiences and services for students and staff in Greenwood Community Schools.

General Conditions

By purchasing a ticket, participants agree to abide by these rules and regulations.

GEF reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the raffle in the event of unforeseen circumstances, subject to Indiana Gaming Commission approval.
