We Are on a QUEST for Learning - $1,782.19
Rebekah Ramsey- Westwood Elementary
Funds will be used to purchase materials that meet the individualized student needs in the classroom. The range of needs is from functional to academic.
Student Ownership in Learning- $2,513.00
Lauren Kibbe- Westwood Elementary
Funds will be used to set up a base system that will allow students to be fully engaged and in control of their learning with more individualized attention. The project includes a blended, self-paced, mastery program in art where each unit or experience is broken into mini lessons with digital recordings that are made by the teacher, and resources to create deeper understanding, as well as extension activities.
Greenwood Middle and High School Robotics - $1,316.80
Kenneth Patterson- Greenwood Middle School
Funds will be used to host the FIRST Robotics South Central league competition at GMS.
Architecture = Science + Art Upgrades - $1,175.51
Tracey Guy & Kailee Vest- Greenwood Middle School
This project will result in the purchase of 30 copies of Architecture for Teens: A Beginner's Book for Aspiring Architects and will be used during the history lesson on architecture. There will be 1-3 mini lessons a month. The funds will also be used for a field trip to Columbus, IN for a tour of the Columbus Area Visitors Center at a highly discounted price. There is a science, history, and career exploration component to this project.
A New World of Possibilities: Reading and Writing with Virtual Reality- $2,495.57
Jessica Schwab- Greenwood Middle School
Funds will be used to purchase VR headsets for the classroom. These will be utilized by students to experience other places virtually and write about their experiences.
Dress for Success - Capstone Closet Project- $2,456.98
Ashley Smithey & Alison Bonham- Greenwood High School
Funds will be used to establish a professional clothing closet for any student who is not able to procure appropriate business attire for the Senior Capstone boards. The clothing will be lent out to students in need.
Projecting Positivity - $210.25
Amy Kreimer, Pam Wishmeyer, & Michael Gasaway- Greenwood High School
Funds will be used to recognize students for Acts of Integrity (and who receive a coin of integrity) and to recognize students of the semester who are positive members of the school and community.
Bridging the Gap- The Transition Year $592.80
